This is a 13 month project to sustainably develop and interpret, bilingually, a Grade II listed redundant, rural chapel and associated school room/stable. An important historic and cultural asset in Pentrebach. To scope and establish a New use for the stable/school room, bringing back into use a redundant heritage asset for the benefit of local people.
- To gain much needed income to support the management of the chapel building.
- To scope and explore a potential curatorial role for any tenant, creating greater accessibility to the chapel for the local community and visitors.
- To develop a local Friends Of group to support with activities and volunteers.
- To develop and install bilingual innovative digital technologies to tell the story of the history of Beilu Du, non-conformity and the local history of people associated with Beilu Du.
