The project will see the piloting of an “Energy Local” model in Carmarthenshire. This activity will be centered within Pentrecwrt with the aim of setting up an energy club to support the reinstating of a hydroelectric system at the old Woollen Mill, Allt Cafan Pentrecwrt.
The project aims to promote sustainable and efficient measures for communities within Carmarthenshire such as fuel clubs and local food growing. Furthermore the project will communicate the advantages of low carbon, decentralised, locally owned generation, energy efficiency and electrified heat and transport and to help communities develop their own projects such as LED lights-electric car clubs.
