The plan is to put water tanks (and coolers) in primary schools during the fish egg hatching season. The hope is to work with Conwy county primary schools located within the boundaries and on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, prioritising those within the boundaries.

We intension is to work with up to 18 schools, six of which fall within the boundaries of the park. The schools will be selected to match the different Warden districts APCE to provide an abundant staff resource To support the project, it is presumed to be.

Ysgol Penmachno and Ysgol Capeleulo will be the first schools to take part in the project. The eggs will be supplied by Natural Resources Wales staff, the children will then hatch the eggs in class watching it grow into fish.. they will be able to carry out scientific, mathematics and geography activities all from this.

Members of a local fishing association, NRW staff and APCE Staff will be available to visit the school and hold specific sessions with the pupils including guided tours of a local river where the children will drop the young fish into it in the spring and also to Llyn Trawsfynydd to visit and to learn more about a much larger hatchery.

The Education packs have already been prepared by the fishing associations, but it needs to be condensed. The cost of the project in particular will be the costs of buying equipment (tanks and coolers) to be able to put it in class.
