The project will aid an aging community, some of whom are isolated in their own homes, with mental health issues, widowed or disabled, with no equipment or idea how to engage in on line face to face communication or use social media and embrace a new world of connectivity and social interaction. In an increasingly technical, on line age, where banks, doctors appointments, grocery shopping etc. are becoming internet based older people and those with limited mobility are increasingly marginalised, particularly in rural areas.
