To conduct a study into the potential future uses of a Monmouthshire county farm. The tenancy of the farm lapses, without a renewal requirement in early 2022. The study will assess all options including those set out below:
- Sell the farm as a going concern and secure the capital derived from the sale
- Let the farm in the same method that has been adopted for many years, and let the new tenant decide on how they wish to operate the farm
- Let the farm with conditions that enable the delivery of policies such as
- Declaration of a climate emergency
- Zero carbon ambitions
- Green Infrastructure policy etc.,
- Let the farm to multiple tenants as commercial or semi-commercial growers, demonstrating Foundational and Circular Economy, low carbon farming principles.
