Additional funds are awarded to an existing project for staff costs for additional online training modules.
The purpose of local tourism ambassador training is to enhance the visitor experience with local knowledge and recommendations.
GAP is a new and improved training programme, which will expand on the good work of the successful pilot programme by providing a digitized and expanded training programme. This programme will consolidate the existing network and allow for expansion of the scheme from the key learning points in the pilot. Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to complete specialist modules such as disabled friendly; history and heritage; and nature, wildlife, and the environment.
