The project will adopt and develop the ‘Homeshare’ model in Carmarthenshire with the primary objective of supporting older people to remain and live for longer in their own homes and for other disabled adult groups to receive support, which whilst being unobtrusive maintains a person’s independence at home. The Homeshare model can reduce dependency on public sector services, by drawing upon the strengths of both older people living alone and those people who have accommodation needs.
