Multipurpose Sheep

A group of farmers in Gwynedd are keen to pilot a project aimed at improving the quality of their sheep's wool, without compromising the quality and quantity of meat. This means importing Merino peanut seed from Australia or New Zealand to cross-breed with the sheep on the farm, as Merino is a finer wool and therefore suitable for different products and sells at a higher price.
