Penmaenmawr Sustainability Statue and Information Project

Phase one of the project aims to commission and place a statue or sculpture in Penmaenmawr that raises awareness of the importance of protecting our natural environment and sustainability. The local community are being consulted as to the exact nature of the statue, but the preliminary feedback suggests a statue where the form represents the local area, perhaps an animal that is close to people’s hearts, such as the Carneddau ponies and is made out of recycled materials, which represents the cause.

Phase two will, in part, run alongside phase one and will record all of the phase one work. Also, this phase of the project will qualify and quantify the benefits to be gained within the local communities of Dwygyfylchi and Penmaenmawr and disseminate this message to the community.
