Rural Tourism

The Covid pandemic has led to many in the UK re-examining the attractiveness of taking a domestic vacation, especially to those more rural destinations that offer space and security. Carmarthenshire is facing competition from many established and well-known destinations and thus must be innovative in how we differentiate our offering.

This project will bring together the vast array of content that has been created to date that highlight the wonders of rural Carmarthenshire, and re-package to a new audience whilst enabling rural communities to become involved in showcasing their assets as a tool for rural recovery.

Project activities will include;

  • Engaging with existing networks within the ten towns and wider hinterland
  • Support the development of a marketing strategy for each area
  • Commission new and original copy relating to each area in order to gain new visitors
  • Create relevant content to be shared across a variety of digital platforms
