The pilot will identify ways in which the high street and town centres can compete with shopping centres and online retailers to increase visitor numbers to the area, and in turn contribute to increasing local spending.
Projects may include art installations, hosting a series of activities, or interactive/ digital developments. Emphasis is also placed on projects that will improve the quality and experience of visitors. The areas will be expected to develop innovative, exciting projects that will highlight what makes their area unique.
