The pilot will proactively engage with the tourism sector in order to demonstrate how astro tourism can be packaged and presented to tourists. As with other Leader projects the aim is to work intensively with a small number of businesses, prior to sharing lessons learnt with a wider audience. The activity will seek to replicate what has been done in the Breacon Beacons and Northumberland by: 1. Recruit, through an open call, 10 tourism businesses eager to participate in the trial. 2. Run a series of workshops and events, which will be filmed, for the participating businesses 3. Purchase equipment and materials to be used by the tourism businesses.
