Julie Williams

I am an Accountant who has worked in Industry for almost 30 years before a move  into  the banking industry for two years as a Relationship Manager. I started out as a junior in a busy office accounting department where I was fortunate to study alongside my career and gained A levels accounting, AAT and ACCA whilst in a working environment. My role has been quite varied as predominantly my positions have been of a Trouble shooting nature where I have moved into companies to resolve many different kinds of problems from cash flows to staffing or growth. My main achievement I would say is to be involved in an organisation with a huge negative equity position, but by remaining controlled, disciplined and setting up processes within the business I have turned the business around to a huge equitable company by involving everyone within the organisation and encouraging team play. I believe I have fair leadership skills as I am not afraid to be involved in difficult situations but would do so with tact and much diplomacy.
My roles have always allowed me a duty of dealing with customers thus I am confident in discussing situations and helping network businesses and my main attribute I would say is contribution. I love to help and will look at any challenging situation with optimism and fact.
Through my employment I have also take up a teaching position of teaching AAT within a college for a short period to assist the staff.  In the past thirteen years I have also run my own children book business which has opened huge opportunities for me and also given a vast amount of varying experience dealing with different types of schools, and individuals. I am very passionate about this business as it is another helping role, where i try to get as many books into hands of children as possible.
I will also visit the school and discuss particular topics. Within this business i also mentor other individuals back to work and share the opportunity of also selling books and recruiting others. I have a team of 1400+ people whom some I have had the pleasure to mentor and grow personally.
I am happy to forward a copy of my CV for further information.

Business top-tip

My Top tip in business would be never to become complacent! Business and operations can change quite quickly, and thus as a business owner, very often the owners are amazing at the operations but then can come unstuck by a surrounding factor. It is vital that business owners are aware of the market, competition and cultures changes for their product / services to be a continued success
