Kevin Peter Simmons

Semi- Retired British Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) who worked on Mid-Market Corporate Finance Transactions for over 20 years, specialising in Financial Due Diligence. Completed around 250 transactions ranging from mergers (including distress mergers), start-up fund raising, MBO’s/MBI’s, Development Capital, Venture Capital, Working Capital extensions and monitoring, Business Valuations and general financial investigation/forensic assignments. Therefore have direct experience of working with companies who are going through transformational change due to growth, contraction or changed circumstances.
Was a partner in a 6 partner firm in the north of England which we built up to 100 staff before selling to a larger organisation. Business ownership issues are therefore very familiar.
Was responsible for Marketing and Business Development for 15 years and was the primary work winner for the majority of that period.
Latterly worked in Vietnam running the Hanoi office for a global Accounting firm, so have a grasp of the business and cultural issues in SE Asia.
For the whole of my career was also a general business advisor for a range of small and medium size businesses across a whole spectrum of business sectors.
Am used to working with Board’s of Directors and Committees. Was Chair of Audit and on General Council for a UK University for many years and have just finished a term as Hon Treasurer for The Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE).
Decided to work in my semi-retirement as an English teacher (CELTA Qualified) and teach General and Business English.
