Liz Tucker

First business set up in the late 1980s was in construction, fitting out retail, pubs and restaurants with seating, play areas and decorative wall and window graphics. In the 1990s went to university with an interest in science and health which turned into a career in counselling and then nutrition. I steered my work into the food industry due to the skills I had amassed from my business background. Currently working as an advisor within the food and health industry, employed to assess the nutritional values of food, improve or develop healthier, more ecologically sound products for the consumer. AfN Registered Nutritionist working as a food and nutrition industry advisor, employed to assess nutritional values and regulatory compliance and improve or develop healthier, ecologically sustainable products. A lecturer and adviser in labelling, nutrition and health claims regulations and works as a consultant for related organisations and associations. She has had an extensive media career, writing for national publications and presenting on radio and television, is a publish author and a regular speaker at food shows and health conferences. Living on a small farm on the Welsh borders she also speaks and campaigns with experience on sustainable farming issues and food production. I therefore have experience in the core aspects of setting up and running a business as well as a specific understanding of how the food industry operates from farm, to production, retail, catering, promotion and finally consumer.

Registered Nutritionist (AfN), MSc, BSc Hons, Member and Welsh representative of Association of Nutrition, Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, Member of Nutritionists In Industry and SENSE.
