Mark Evans (MCIPD)

I left Powys County Council in February 2019 after 27 years’ service. My final role with the Council was Director of Resources and prior to that had been Head of Business Services since April 2013. My professional background is in HR and Payroll and prior to working for the Council spent 7 years in the private sector working for Laura Ashley.
During my career at the Council I have had responsibility for HR, OD, IT, Procurement, Income & Awards, Business Support, Customer Services, Legal, Payroll and the Pension Fund.  I also took a lead on transformation within the Council, particularly in respect of process improvement, service re-design and commerciality, sponsoring a number of key transformation projects including the procurement and implementation of the Council’s first integrated HR/Payroll solution, implementation of a cashless schools system and the re-design of the Income and Awards service.
I have recently set up my own business ‘Fullbrook Solutions Ltd’ providing a range of services including, Coaching & Mentoring, Business Process Improvement, Strategic Customer Relations and Training.
I have a passion to make a difference and to provide effective outcomes and high levels of performance, gained from senior executive experience in Managerial, Head of Service and Director roles, across a range of divergent corporate services, mixing operational effectiveness and delivery with significant and complex transformational change.
I became a Chartered Member of CIPD in August 2011.  I am very pleased to be a Business Wales Mentor.
