COBRA Music Studios

COBRA Music Studios is a contemporary recording studio specialising in traditional styles of music and voice over recording.

The Recording Studio is integrated into the heart of the Riverfront Theatre, with links into each of the spaces within the building; the main Auditorium, Studio Theatre and Dance Studio, allowing us to facilitate larger sessions in house. Each of these spaces have their own acoustic character, providing our clients with a truly unique sound for their recordings.

Comprising of a mixture of analogue and digital recording equipment, in the control room we use hybrid recording techniques to get the best sound for your recording. With a dual Slate Raven MTi system controlling our sessions and a selection of external outboard equipment, combined with our links to the other recording spaces, the studio provides a wealth of options for small and large recording sessions, making COBRA Music Studios the perfect place for a unique recording experience.

The studio live room presents a beautiful intimate space that is perfect for capturing and expressing your creativity. Ambient lighting creates the perfect atmosphere for both recording and writing sessions. In house, we have a stunning baby grand piano, which is available for use during your session.

COBRA are specialists when it comes to recording on-location with choirs, brass bands and orchestral ensembles. Location recording can be a great way to produce your album. As with most ensembles, there is often that one place, that one concert that you performed, which sticks with you as being the best. This can often be due to the sound of the venue. Recording in a space where the acoustics naturally compliment a performance and makes an ensemble feel comfortable, can enhance a performance and make for a better recording. We offer a comprehensive On-location recording service, complete with CD Duplication, Artwork Design, Copyright Licensing, Mixing and Mastering.
