Privacy Notice – Food & Drink Wales

Your privacy is important to Food & Drink Wales and in line with General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) we have created this privacy notice. Please familiarise yourself with this document as it sets out why we collect and use personal information about you.

The Welsh Government is the data controller for personal information processed by Food & Drink Wales. 

Food & Drink Contact Us Form

When you use Food & Drink Wales Contact Us form we ask you to provide your name, your email address and telephone number. We process this personal information in order to make a record of your enquiry and to ensure you receive appropriate support from our service teams. 

Your personal information is processed in order for us to exercise our official authority as the Welsh Government to support and promote the social, economic and environmental well-being of Wales.

This data is shared with organisations which are contracted by Welsh Government and procured by the Food and Drink Framework to assist with your support. The shared information will be accessible to our system technical administrators and project managers who support the I.T. system. System administrators will not use your details in any way

We will keep your personal information associated with your enquiry for no longer than 12 months in line with Welsh Government’s Data Retention policy.

Food & Drink Wales New Consumer Focused E-Bulletin   

If you subscribe to receiving the Food & Drink Wales new consumer focused E-Bulletin we need to process personal information about you (your name, your email and your postcode). It is necessary to have this information in order to send you the E-bulletin electronically and to understand the geographical reach the E-Bulletin has. 

In order to send you the E-Bulletin we are required to collect and record your explicit consent to do so. We will not send you the E-Bulletin unless you have provided your consent to do so and you can opt-out of receiving the E-Bulletin at any time by unsubscribing here.

The Welsh Government will be the data controller for the personal information you provide.  A third party appointed under contract by Welsh Government will be the data processor in order to manage our Food & Drink Wales new consumer focused E-bulletin (using Moosend). Your rights

  • Under the data protection legislation, you have the right:
  • to access the personal data the Welsh Government holds on you;
  • require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data
  • to (in certain circumstances) object to or restrict processing

  • to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection
