In a major new initiative, the food and drink industry in Wales is to benefit from a dynamic, industry-driven Food and Drink Wales Industry Board which has been set up to deliver a new era of growth and success.
Appointment of Food and Drink Wales Industry Board New Members
The Welsh Government’s Department for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs has restarted the recruitment campaign for additional members to join the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board.
The Board is the voice of the food and drink industry in Wales, providing direction, encouraging networking and sharing vital information. The Board also provides both formal and informal ways of providing advice to Government.

New Board, new action
The Board will be the voice of the food and drink industry in Wales, providing direction, encouraging networking and sharing vital information. It will take shared ownership with Welsh Government of Towards Sustainable Growth: an Action Plan for the Food and Drink Industry 2014-2020, and report on its progress to Ministers, and in time may move to a position where it will be independent of government.
