The UK has the world’s largest marine aggregates industry, with ports in Wales hosting a small proportion of the total UK landings of 18.8 million tonnes in 2016.

Ports from Penrhyn in North Wales to the main ports in Milford Haven, Swansea and Cardiff have landings of over half a million tonnes of primary aggregates.
