I left school with a few qualifications and went straight to work in 1986 on a Youth Training Scheme where I learnt the basic office admin. This got me my first job, in a factory then on to a sales administrator with a telecoms company, steadily progressing to UK sales manager for the same company.This gave me the understanding that hard work and a willingness to learn will get you noticed and helped with my career progression.
I became a Sales Manager looking after 12 staff, but I preferred the front line sales, speaking and meeting customers face to face, which I have been doing ever since for a few different firms.
All along my career I have learnt from older, younger and more experienced family, friends and colleagues that has helped me to love what I do. It would be great to think I could help someone in the same way.
