Marine Protected Area Network Management Grant Scheme
Our seas contain some of the most diverse wildlife and habitats in Europe.
We are committed to ensuring that our seas are:
- clean
- healthy
- safe
- productive, and
- biologically diverse
Marine Protected Areas (MPA) are an important way of protecting species and habitats. They will also help us to achieve Good Environmental Status in our waters, through the UK Marine Strategy.
We are partnering with organisations to help Wales achieve a well-managed Marine Protected Area Network. This is supported by our MPA Network Management Grant Scheme.
The MPA Network Management Grant Scheme is open to applications from all Welsh Management Authorities, interested organisations and third sector organisations.
The scheme covers revenue projects which deliver benefits, enhancements or improved understanding to the management of the Welsh Marine Protected Area (MPA) Network.
The scheme is open from 5 May to 30 June 2025.
You can find further guidance at: Marine Protected Area Network Management Grant Scheme (on gov.wales).
The form to apply for the Marine Protected Network Management Grant scheme is available on gov.wales.
