Covid-19 RD&I – Research, Development and Innovation Solutions provided by Welsh Businesses and Research Organisations

The coronavirus outbreak has presented us with a number of challenges and stretched our capacity to deliver products, processes and services that meet the growing demand placed on our NHS and care services.

The Welsh Government is supporting Innovative businesses and Research Organisations based in Wales to deliver the solutions that address these challenges.

Challenges include;

  • Development of medical products, devices and equipment
  • Infection Control and Testing
  • Meeting the demand for Personal Protective Equipment
  • Development of rapid Sanitisation techniques and products

If you have an idea for an R&D project to develop a new or improved product or process that can help, we want to hear from you.

The closing date for applications is 30th November 2020.

To help take these ideas forward, we are able to offer support up to 80% of the total eligible project costs, through the COVID-19 temporary state aid framework. See our Key Fact Sheet for more information.
