Based in Cardiff, Time for Medicine (TFM) joined the Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP) in September 2015. The company was seeking the support of experienced mentors with unique hard-to-find skillsets.
Time for Medicine has worked with over 60 specialist clinicians in 20 clinical specialities to develop a cloud based platform that brings specialist medical care to patients nearer their home environment. The company is a spin out from the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, and aims to address the issue of reducing the cost of care, without cutting front line services.
Working in collaboration with our coaches and the support structures within the Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme we provided focus and direction to this exciting business. Our work included:
- Expert advice from mentor Julie Booth, who guided TFM through the launch of a new consumer product
- Support with target creation and priority planning, ensuring TFM focused its resources in the most efficient way
- Learning journey opportunities as TFM travelled to MIT in Boston as part of the Start-up Eco System Conference
Time for Medicine has an exciting vision for the future, with plans to deploy the platform in a further 19 clinical specialities in both the private and NHS sectors. The company is targeting sale of £4m and to grow to 36 members of staff by 2018.
