Marine litter: what you can do
Pledge your commitment to Clean Seas.
Marine litter is a global issue which has a devastating impact upon the world’s oceans. The good news is that we can all play a part in changing this.
Around the world, individuals, businesses, charities and governments are taking action. They are pledging to fight for #CleanSeas as part of the UN’s campaign.
Wales is a host country to the UN Clean Seas campaign. We will address the issue of marine litter and build on our accomplishments:
- Blue Flag beaches
- bathing water quality
- recycling rates
We ask your organisation/community to make a pledge and be part of the global UN campaign. Even if it is just a small change:
- stop using plastic straws
- change to re-usable cups
- carry out a 5 minute beach clean
- put your litter in the correct recycling bin
Small changes make a big difference!
