Rhys Cornwall

Rhys is Head of People and Business Change at Newport City Council and is responsible for a wide range of supporting and enabling functions across the Local Authority. He makes sure all initiatives support innovation and deliver cost effective and targeted services for residents, businesses and partners.

As part of his role, Rhys led the charge for Newport City Council to join the Shared Resource Service (SRS); a public sector IT partnership promoting collaboration, innovation and resilience across the Gwent region. His strategic thinking and extensive experience of working alongside businesses to drive jobs and economic growth means Rhys is in a unique position to shape the Superfast Business Wales programme to ensure that it meets the needs of local businesses in Wales.
