"This project will develop a comprehensive national BVD eradication programme, utilising best practice and data from other established national schemes.
Development will include;
• herd testing protocols
• scoping laboratories to analyse / report results
• scope the most suitable database to record and disseminate results
• calculate costs of the voluntary eradication program
• application for BVD program implementation funding.
In parallel with the above activity, it is proposed to scope the potential to develop other farm animal disease control or eradication programmes."
