In order to safeguard and strengthen our position in the competitive UK cheese market, Belton Packing & Logistics (BPL) needs to expand our current cheese cutting and packing facility, which will result in the creation of 8 jobs.
To facilitate this, we have identified a need to purchase equipment to create a 2nd permanent production line, and add equipment to improve our current part-time line. This includes items such as a flow-wrapping machine, check weighers and metal detectors, first stage cheese cutting machine, and will be accommodated by some physical changes to the current layout to our factory.
The project cost in its entirety is estimated to be c. £314,000.
This application outlines the rationale behind our decision to expand our business and maximise the capability of the factory in order to secure its growth.
