This project will employ a full-time, Level 3 qualified Youth/Community Officer, a part-time Youth Support Worker and a part-time administrator to undertake and manage an action-research pilot project to assess the benefits to youth work trainees, and the surrounding rural communities, of providing hands-on training in youth and community work specifically within rural community settings.
The trainees will be 4 local unemployed young people and the project’s aim is to increase their employability prospects and, at the same time, provide much needed youth services based in rural community organisations around the needs of the young people living in those communities.
