This project will create an events organisers' network, which will involve network promotion, event organisers' surgeries and seminars, as well as rural surgeries with guest speakers, online training, an ambassador course and a learning journey for the event organisers. The ambassador course will educate event organisers on how they can make their event(s) more locally distinctive.
The learning journey will identify an exemplar event or events which the network will visit, in order to benefit from the best practice. Rural surgeries" or "one-stop shops" will be held where local event organisers can call in for assistance with any aspect of their event organising such as licensing issues completing a risk assessment environmental health etc. The project will also engage with retailers and community organisations demonstrating how they can get involved with and benefit from events.
