Astro Tourism Eryri

Snowdonia National Park has received the status of international dark sky-one of only 11 globally. The status awarded to Snowdonia is given by the International Dark Sky Association to places that have proven the quality of the night sky is excellent. Dark Sky status can attract additional tourists to the area, particularly out of peak seasons. The status of dark sky has a real economic value. Accommodation providers can offer packages for astro-tourism, without having extensive astronomy skills or knowledge. Proactively joining tourism sectors.
