Dyfi Catchment Natural Restoration Project

This project will deliver riparian habitat enhancements and a reintroduction of beavers to the Dyfi catchment to help develop a better-connected, more resilient freshwater ecosystem; improving water-quality, reducing flooding, restoring
biodiversity, and increasing carbon sequestration.

It will also undertake work to maximise the economic and social benefits that beavers can bring through increased visitor income. Using local contractors and project-trained volunteers to deliver work it will also benefit the local economy and the health and wellbeing of local communities.
