Irfon Catchment Resilient Freshwater Habitat

The project will fund soil and nutrient management, diffuse and point source pollution control, tree planting, pond creation and Natural Flood Management. It uses citizen engagement in freshwater management and monitoring, including eDNA and rapid water pollution testing, to help develop recreation, tourism and Social Prescribing activities based around the water environment.

The project will reduce pollution, increase freshwaters and wetland resilience, engage the public and use comprehensive monitoring programme data to disseminate project findings widely in Wales and beyond.
