Reskill Upskill

This project seeks to support practical projects that will assist in the maintenance, restoration and upgrading of the rural heritage, improving business resilience and market knowledge and up-skilling individuals and smes by providing key skills to people residing in the Cwm a Mynydd . One issue that has been raised by several members is lack of skills training, in particular rural skills such as dry stone walling and hedge laying. As a result of this the Cwm a Mynydd Officers carried out a survey with our network members and many have contacted the team back to see if they can be supported in training that will not only help, in the case of agri skills, maintain their land but also have the potential to assist them to diversify into contract work. With members of the Food, Drink and Hospitality network and Cwm a Mynydd Creatives and Heritage network all expressing an interest in up-skilling, learning new methods collectively to improve their business resilience, pursue new opportunities and access new markets.
