Ceredigion Citizens Advice

Ceredigion Citizens Advice will be out and about in the county this winter with a series of pop-up advice shops in local community venues.

The charity has received funding to run drop-in advice sessions in 12 communities: Cardigan, Aberporth, Penparc, Llandysul, Cilgerran, Crymych, St Dogmaels, Melindwr, Beulah, Llanon, Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn.

These communities are in the top 15 of advice calls made to Ceredigion Citizens Advice.

The charity has already started four successful regular outreach sessions in Penparcau, Borth, Lampeter and Aberaeron.

The Advice To Go sessions are due to start on Friday, October 28 in Canolfan Dyffryn, Aberporth, from 10am until 2pm.

Ceredigion Citizens Advice chief executive Juliet Morris said:

“We know how hard it can be for people to reach the support they need. So much is online or at the end of an automated phone system, often so impersonal as to be unreachable. These community drop-in sessions bring our advisers, in person, to where they are most needed. We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get the information and advice they need to support them through these challenging times.”

Advice To Go has been supported by the Cynnal y Cardi LEADER scheme and funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union.
