Vicki Spencer-Francis

Vicki has over 18 years’ experience in marketing and communication working in both London and Wales. Starting her career at Channel 4 as Dermot O’Leary’s first press officer, Vicki went onto launch the first digital channels in the UK at Granada and then at the the BBC launched the new CBBC and Cbeebies channels.

Since moving back to Wales, Vicki has worked both in local Government and at the Welsh Government where she was Marketing and Campaign Manager for the first place marketing campaign in Wales, distilling the tourism and marketing offer across ten local authority areas which make up The Valleys.

Vicki has extensive third sector experience in Wales, working with with Macmillan Cancer Support, British Heart Foundation, WRVS, Tenovus and Comic Relief. She and her team manage all regional media activity in Wales, the West Midlands, West and South West for Sport Relief and Red Nose Day campaigns.

Vicki has won over 20 CIPR and one CIM award for a number of campaigns she has created and led. Vicki founded cowshed in July 2014 to use her expertise in campaign planning and delivery to make a real difference to people’s lives. Cowshed lives by its promise to only deliver campaigns that work, for clients they love and causes they believe in. It is this strong vision and mission that sets Cowshed apart from other communication consultancies and has led to the rapid expansion of the company within two years.

As well as being MD of Cowshed, Vicki is Creative Director of the Abergavenny Food Festival and Honorary Assistant Director of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society.
