June Burrough
A Social Entrepreneur and Life Coach/Mentor with a passion for social justice, a belief that every human being is remarkable and an ethos of service and welcome. I have an MSc in Management Development and Training. I love my work as a facilitator, coach and mentor. Whether Personal Development, Management Learning, Organizational Growth or Leadership Development, the outcome is to implement new courses of action which maximise potential opportunities for the individual or the organization. It is key to my work that people find their own solutions and actions which best serve their vision and purpose. I am fascinated by the concepts behind Social Enterprise and the idea of a Leader as a Community Builder, making social impact on the wider society of which their organisation is a part. I founded the Pierian Centre CIC in Bristol in 2001, which ran for a decade until its closure in December 2011 (www.juneburrough.co.uk). During that time I was a National Ambassador for the European Year for Combatting Poverty and Social Exclusion and we “incubated” many projects which are still thriving. As co-author of ‘The Honesty Pot’, I have given presentations focusing on the place of heartfulness and social purpose in creating leaders who build community spirit in their workplaces.
My working life splits into diverse decades, with an amazing 16 month “sabbatical” in Australia in 1991.
A Decade in Theatre as Stage Manager.
A Decade as Home Caterer, Career Change Mentor, Trainer.
A Decade as Management Consultant, Facilitator, Coach.
A Decade as Founder Director of The Pierian Centre.
I moved to North Wales in 2015, renovated a derelict barn, set up a new business running a holiday cottage, and am learning Welsh. I have loved facilitating groups and individuals here for personal and organizational development, using the outdoors.
