Jamie McGregor

After University joined RHM Foods on a graduate trainee programme and eventually becoming their Operations Manager for a Factory employing 250 people.

Moved into hi-tech production within the electronics industry to learn all about World Class Manufacturing techniques and lean manufacturing.

This was followed with a career spanning 16 years working as a Management Consultant where my specialisms were Supply Chain and Project Management.

An opportunity then arose where I joined two friends and invested in their (young) food manufacturing business to become their Supply Chain Director. My first task was to build and operate a 1500sqm factory, and after a thorough training programme, transfer manufacturing operations in-house from their contract manufacturer. The factory was always a BRC AA accredited manufacturing facility. Key successes were the fully integrated IT system, the use of MRP for all planning and procurement and a constant reduction in the unit cost of manufacture through investment. The business was sold on 2018, when I retired.

I have a passion for doing things correctly and efficiently. Consequently, I rely heavily on data and analysis to make decisions and to generate business cases.
