Kevyn Jones

Having spent the last 16 years leading my own SME businesses I have gained a great deal of experience of every aspect of running a company. Several of my businesses have reached a point where I was able to successfully exit, including sales to prominent multinational organisations.

I have also participated at PLC board level which gives me a good understanding of how corporate business works. I have recently sold a majority stake of my current business to an Employment Ownership Trust with the intention of the employees taking over the business when I retire. As this process is ongoing I have less work to undertake than I had previously so I’ve decided to become a Business Wales Mentor so I can encourage and assist the next generation of business leaders in Wales.

My core skills are Strategic Planning, Financial Forecasting and Planning, Marketing and Sales and Client Relations. I also have extensive experience of successfully tendering for Local Authority and Welsh Government contracts.

I have spent the majority of my career in the service industry – both B2B and B2C and also have a good grasp of manufacturing. I have also been a property investor for almost 20 years so have a understanding of both the financial and regulatory elements of buying, selling and leasing property.

I’m a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Qualified National and International PSV Transport Manager and I’m also an active Angel Investor.
