Bica Byw

The Bica Byw project will maximise all that Llangrannog has to offer by engaging with the local community to pilot and develop new and exciting ideas.

The aim of ‘Bica Byw’ is to create a sustainable community in Llangrannog, adding value to local identity and maximising the natural, historical and cultural assets.

Piloting a number of ideas will enable them to engage, increase capacity and collaborate to acknowledge and resolve community issues, and trial opportunities. The aim is that ‘Bica Byw’ will combine cutting edge technology with real experiences, to engage and develop.

The project will appoint a Social Animator to engage on a variety of themes and activities including undertaking a community consultation to look at the future viability of Crannog Chapel, hold digital workshops, pilot a children’s digital game, provide mentoring for volunteers to increase capacity to develop social initiatives and strengthen their skills, ensuring the sustainability and continuation of local activity, develop initiatives that provide better access to the natural environment and create a stronger and more interactive community and hold workshops for organisations, societies and individuals to come together to create a single piece of artwork to celebrate the myths, history and Llangrannog of today.
