Pop Up Shop Kit

The project will provide a modular kit for setting up a local food shop whether within a vehicle, portacabin or shop. In order for the producers on the island to take advantage of events, honey spots and identified areas of demand, the kit will be flexible enough to be easily installed for a temporary or pop up Local food shop. The project will  

 

  1. Identify and design the requirements of the pop up kit to support various product ranges. 
  2. Ensure a neutral marketing kit is included to promote the pop up/mobile shop. 
  3. Ensure a timetable for the kit to be used at a minimum of 4 events and a period at honey spots identified by the Gorau Mon group that will allow enough data/feedback to be collated to ascertain the effectiveness of this pilot. 
  4. To include digital technology and low maintenance concept within the design to keep running costs to a minimum. 
  5. Provide a visible route to market for the producers on the island, additionally enabling new producers to trial there goods. 
  6. To push the local food campaign by supplying quality locally sourced produce in areas previously untrialled. Feedback for the producers and local businesses will be gathered, from local residents (ensuring off peak periods) and from Tourists. This will take the form of surveys and on line responses as well as tasters. The journey will be filmed (including customer responses) and fed back to a final report.
