A project to show the importance of the rivers in everyones day to day lives,the project will start in schools encouraging children to become River Friendly Kids by undertaking a series of simple tasks that allow them to directly improve their environment. They will then work together to make their River Friendly School and take the message home to Mum and Dad, Grandparents and friends who will make sure they live in River Friendly Homes. They and our staff will help support local industry to become River Friendly Farms and River Friendly Business directly improving the financial basis and security of each. Finally, once enough of the community has become River Friendly, the village will be proud to say they are a River Friendly Village.R-Review drainage and site pollution on site I-Intercept install a water butt/ sustainable drainage scheme V- Volunteer to improve their local water course/ work with local school to improve staff health and wellbeing E- Environment improvements through staff training R- Report pollution.
