Ruthin Castle Feasibility Study

Ruthin Castle is very much under threat. The castle is in desperate need of conservation to prevent further deterioration and the Trust aims to ensure the permanent preservation of this site by working with public, private and third sector partners to make Ruthin Castle a major public amenity for the people of North Wales, creating employment, training and volunteering opportunities as well as providing a substantial boost to the heritage and cultural tourism offer of Ruthin and North Wales, attracting educational and academic visitors and tourists from all over the country throughout the year. First, however, we have to ensure that our plans are viable and sustainable by conducting an independent feasibility study to provide a comprehensive written appraisal of the issues and opportunities, assess the options and risks and make recommendations on the next steps the Trust needs to take to make the project a success and to permanently safeguard the castle, its gardens and grounds for future generations.
