Pembroke Food Hub Launch Day

Wales Community Food Distribution, led by PLANED, is thrilled to launch its first food hub. The project facilitates volunteers to link with food producers and suppliers to have easy access to healthy and great value food.

This is the first to open, with Tenby on the 1st July and many more as we continue to develop hubs across the south west Wales region.

Pembroke’s Food Hub in Foundry House is officially open! Laura from the team tells us that the ‘launch was fantastic, with lots of orders placed, loads of interest and even included chatting to the live show on Pure West Radio. We’d like to thank the hub volunteers and Mayor Councillor Dennis Evans for launching the hub and for everyone who joined us’.

Volunteers are there to meet you every Monday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm with fresh fruit and vegetable selections and locally grown salad options coming soon. Pop in to find our more, to ask about volunteering or to just take a peek inside this valuable community venue.

If you are interested in attending, please visit the Wales Community Food website: www.Communityfood.wales or email WCFD@PLANED.org.uk.

Led by PLANED, working with partners across the region this project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Welsh Government.
