Evaluation of LEADER/CLLD

The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange information and issues faced in the evaluation of LEADER and Community Led Local Development (CLLD) across the UK, with delegates from Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in attendance.

EU evaluation experts presented case studies from Italy, Germany and Denmark to delegates and led discussions on evaluation in practice.

The day ended with a group discussion to reflect on what needs / further support were required at a local level to support evaluation of LEADER / CLLD going forward.

The Welsh Government have prepared and published a LEADER evaluation guidance document to assist Local Action Groups.
