There is an increasing demand for locally grown fruit and vegetables. Landowners are well placed to take advantage of this trend by learning more about innovative mulching systems and how they can be applied to their own horticultural practices.

Are you interested in Organic Holticulture? Then join Farming Connect at Tyddyn Teg, Bethel, Caernarfon, LL55 3PS on 19 August 2019, 17:00 - 19:30 for an early evening talk from Johannes Storch who presented at the Real Oxford Farming Conference earlier this year.

Learn about the principles of nature keeping soil fertile and how these principles find practical application in organic horticulture.

The principles of nature keeping soil fertile i.e. permanent root and soil cover and how can these principles find practical application in organic horticulture will be covered within the event, as well as crop rotation with intensive use of cover crops and how can a crop rotation feed itself with mulch material.

Technical solutions for transplanting inorganic mulch layers will be discussed within the event as well as scientific and practical results of 9 years of experience with Mulch systems.

The event also includes a light supper made using produce from Tyddyn Teg.
