Menter a Busnes has been commissioned to work with young people to showcase the Dyfi Biosphere and its entrepreneurial opportunities through a film and social media campaign.

The catchment surrounding the river Dyfi has been designated as an UNESCO Biosphere area for over 10 years. As one of seven UNESCO Biosphere areas in the United Kingdom, and the only one in Wales it offers innumerable opportunities for the region’s people, its communities and businesses.

The Ti bia’r Biosffer project will identify and utilise those opportunities using a series of short films showcasing entrepreneurism at its best.

Young people from the area will produce the films, so Menter a Busnes are looking for enthusiastic and creative young people between 16 and 30 years old to join the production crew. The films will be released on social media.

“It’s an exciting project and an opportunity for the crew to learn how to design effective social media campaigns and equip them to use those skills to raise the profile of their own digital platforms”,

Said Einir Davies, Menter a Busnes.

Being part of the project will give young people in the area access to media, film production and communication training and will learn how they can make the most of the Dyfi Biosphere for the good of their communities and local economy.

Expressions of interest can be made by completing an application form by Friday 2nd July. The form is available to download from the Dyfi Biosphere website.

The Ti bia’r Biosffer project is being delivered by Menter a Busnes and is being funded on a cooperative basis by the Cynnal y Cardi (Ceredigion), Arwain Powys and Arloesi Gwynedd Local Action Groups.

It has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
