A strong Welsh skills base is vital in developing a sustainable events industry and we are working with the industry, sector skills councils and education and training providers to enhance Wales’ professional competence and capability as a world class events destination. Creative and Cultural Skills (CCS)is leading the campaign to change recruitment culture in the creative sector. They have created the first specialist apprenticeship frameworks within the creative sector. Volunteering at Events in Wales
Successful major events can inspire and engage individuals and communities through volunteering. One of our objectives is to increase the number and diversity of volunteers from Wales, recruited for major events in Wales.
As with training, we seek to identify as many volunteering opportunities as possible with supported events. Any suitable volunteering opportunities will normally be publicised through individual event websites but may also be highlighted on these pages with appropriate information links.
