Bronllys Well Being Park

The objective of the Bronllys Well Being Park (BWBP) CLT is an Eco Garden Village that cares for its rural Powys community by supporting and enhancing but not replacing the Community Hospital at its heart. BWBP will work with community partners to deliver a package of feasibility studies and pilot activity that will investigate the potential implementation of the following social care & well-being services/facilities:

  • A Rural Day Centre during the week with short training courses on relevant topics at weekends.
  • Care accommodation for 20 people with dementia
  • A Food Growing scheme for vulnerable people

Innovative and environmentally sustainable and affordable community housing to address local housing needs

 

  • Provide caring, health and tourism focused enterprises and work opportunities in a range of refurbished buildings
  • Deliver leisure, sporting and fitness activities that benefit local communities.
  • Develop future sustainable rural community transport solutions for the local community by working with partners. (Evaluate and test electric/hydrogen powered shuttle vehicles, create a transport hub connecting local communities, provide a discreet solar energy EV recharging facility).
  • to protect and enrich the environment within the Bronllys Hospital grounds.

The Development Officer Post funded by Arwain aims to deliver the following outputs over a 3 year period:

  • Community Hubs (x3)
  • Stakeholders Engaged: 300+
  • Participants Supported: 300+ (awareness raising events only)
