A chartered Fellow of the IPD with a master’s degree in HRM and CMI level 7 in Strategic management and leadership.
Following my recent retirement, I am now pursuing options that will provide me with a stimulating challenge that will enable me to remain professionally active thus utilising the skills and experience acquired over many years. I can offer substantial strategic and operational HR leadership and have a good understanding of best practice across multiple disciplines in both the public and private sectors. In the context of this role I have experience of mentoring and supporting colleagues in senior leadership roles as well as setting up a HR function for a start-up company that grew to a £200 million pound operation employing circa 1000 employees.
Much has been written on the management of individuals and teams in an organisation.  Many successful managers hold the view that management is best learned through doing. I can offer over 30 years’ experience from operational to HR director roles in both the public and private sector.
